Since 2015 I have been working as a professional freelance videographer/photographer- with a focus on Indigenous culture and ocean preservation abroad. An avid traveler, I respect the lands of all Indigenous Peoples. My home is located on the beautiful Traditional Territory of the W̱SÁNEĆ Peoples.
As a colonial-settler, while working in Community, I continue to strive to build an authentic creative practice to expand my understanding of how I can uplift and uphold the value of the land, the water, knowledge keepers, and the passing of tradition into contemporary practices.
I have been privileged to work alongside artists, elders, community members, and academics who continue to support and expand my relational and technical skills across visible platforms.
I bring with me my personal and professional approach prior to documentation. Through quiet observation and relationship building I create a safe and authentic space for expression that is then translated into my work; I aim to evoke authentic emotion through cinematic visuals and film techniques that honor the beauty of precious homelands, shared stories and captivating narratives.
